Justin Sonder 1925–2020

Jew, Auschwitz survivor, Chemnitz resident. He and his family were the first guests at the Schalom Restaurant on 15 March 2000. He became a very good friend, regular guest and ambassador for our Simcha Pils, and an honorary citizen of the city of Chemnitz. Since November 9 th , 2024, visitors can sit on the bench on Brühl and engage in conversation. The bench is located on the Brühl, opposite the Rosa Luxemburg primary school.
